✓You’re out of work, or can’t work, because of a health condition

Common questions

Are you the Social Security Administration?

No. The Disability Advocates is a private company. We aren’t affiliated with or endorsed by the Social Security Administration or any government agency. We help people find out whether they may qualify and represent their claims through our own licensed advocates.

Does it cost anything to find out if I qualify?

No. The eligibility call is free and there’s no obligation. If you choose to have us represent your claim, our fee is set out in a written agreement you sign first, and it must be approved by the Social Security Administration before it can be paid.

What is SSDI?

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a federal program that pays monthly benefits to people who can’t work because of a medical condition expected to last at least a year, and who have worked and paid Social Security taxes.

What happens on the call?

We’ll confirm your details and ask a few quick yes-or-no questions about your work, your health and whether you already have help with a claim. If it looks like you may qualify, we’ll transfer you straight to one of our licensed advocates.

I don’t want to be contacted any more.
